Staff friendly and attentive. Secure and convenient car park. Excellent food in restaurant. Spa with sauna and whirlpool.
Nothing to complain about at all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and my room. Also the staff. However, the staff in their restaurant needs to be a bit more energetic and spirited.
The restaurant is not that enjoyable, primarily due to the staff or at least on the evening when I had dinner.

The location of the hotel could not be better. Right in the centre of town with everything within a short walking distance including plenty of good restaurants - all reasonably priced. The hotel itself has good public rooms in the older part of the building. Breakfast was good. We did not use the restaurant in the evening but it looked fine. The was a room where we could help ourselves to tea or coffee whenever we wanted it. (There were no facilities to make drinks in the room). The room was satisfactory. It was in the more modern part of the building. It was reasonably large. The bathroom was fine. Gorlitz is well worth a visit - though not many Brits and quite a few Germans appear to know about it. It was not damaged in the war and has been well resored since the 1990s. It is very attractive with fine architecture and good museums. It is at the western edge of historic Silesia as well as the eastern point of modern Saxony and the museum of Silesian history does a good job at explaining the interesting background and culture of the region particularly since the 16th century. We also visited nearby Zittau which is interesting too. There is also the novelty of walking across the river into Poland.
Only issue for us was the hardness of the beds. We stayed 5 nights and did not get used to them. They were also somewhat low. The room was also not airconditioned, thought this was not a problem when we were there. There was some noise of building work from the building next door early one morning, but when we complained the hotel management were apologetic and it only happened the once.

We had a memorable stay in a beautiful old town with a spacious sleeping area down to the river. the charming restaurant with sweet local girls as waitresses made our stay enjoyable. the room was well-appointed, and the modern bathroom was sparkling clean. the breakfast was comprehensive with varied and tasty food. We enjoyed the complimentary strong WiFi and Flat TV. the staff were very polite and helpful, and the hotel offered secure parking, which was easy to access.
We would have preferred a more welcoming and warmer attitude from the staff.

The fact our son's extra bed had already been made up and extra towels/glasses left in the bathroom - a surprisingly rare event.
Squeezy soap containers (specially the one for the shower, which you can't reach when you are sitting in the bath!)

The hotel is located in a very beautiful and historic part of town, close to a charming bridge connecting two countries. The breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from and the staff were very accommodating in fulfilling my requests. It was great to have a lounge to relax in and read a book as well.
The noise from the outside restaurant kept me up late into the night, which was very frustrating since I wanted to use my time in the town to its fullest. The staff wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to care about the guests' comfort.

Awesome historical building with beautiful features. Had a nice time in the central location and close proximity to major tourist attractions. the breakfast was quite tasty and the gym and sauna were impressive in its well-maintained condition.
There was a lack of air conditioning with very little ventilation and no toiletries provided. Wi-Fi was very slow and a jug of soap on the wall instead of toiletries was not quite what I expected.
